This is a view out of the front of the lodge at about 0800. The right two pictures are taken at eye level, out across the lake. If you click on either, you can see that snow is being deposited on the pines as the cloud rolls through.
At noon, things looked the best they had in 24 hours, so I scrambled.
On the way, things were briefly kind of blissful, so I risked taking a few shots on the way to Golden, AB.
I came across a cool-colored river before Golden. While I was there I met a local and got yet another opinion on crossing Roger's Pass. She thought it should be fine. Then she took my picture for me.
I didn't take any pictures in the slick stuff, for obvious reasons, but here are some pics nearing the pass.
