I had the option of camping just below Tioga Pass at about 9000 feet. There was a guy on a BMW 1150GS Adventure there. I decided it was way too cold, and I'd head down thw mountain instead.
Here are a few shots of where I ended up. I picked Convict Lake, just below 8000 feet. It still dropped to the mid-twenties overnight.
